Double costs.

135. If any action shall be brought or suit commenced against any person or persons, for anything done in pursuance of this Act, or in relation thereto, every such action or suit shall be brought within six calendar months after the fact done, . . .; and if a verdict shall be given for the defendant in such action, or if the plaintiff or plaintiffs shall become nonsuited, or suffer a discontinuance of his, her, or their action, or if upon demurrer judgment shall be given against the plaintiff or plaintiffs, the defendant or defendants shall have and recover double costs, the plaintiffs first suggesting on the record, by leave of the court, that the action was brought for an act done in pursuance of this Act, or in relation thereto, if the same shall not sufficiently appear by the pleadings.
