37. The town of Berwick-upon-Tweed shall be deemed to be within England for all the purposes of this Act; but nothing in this Act shall extend or be construed to extend to Scotland or Ireland, or to the Isles of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, or Sark, save and except the several provisions respecting the backing of warrants contained in the Indictable Offences Act, 1848, and incorporated into this Act as aforesaid.
