S.I. No. 242/2009 - Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2009

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 3rd July, 2009.

I, MARY HARNEY, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002), hereby make the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2009.

2. The 1st day of July 2009 is appointed as the day upon which section 33A (inserted by section 5 of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 6 of 2004)) of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002) shall come into operation.

The Order commences section 33A (inserted by section 5 of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act 2004 (No. 6 of 2004) of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (No. 6 of 2002).
