S.I. No. 537/2014 - Private Security (Licensing and Standards) (Cash In Transit) (Amendment) Regulations 2014.


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 2nd December, 2014.

The Private Security Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 51 (as amended by section 15 of the Civil Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2011 (No.23 of 2011)) of the Private Security Services Act 2004 (No. 12 of 2004), with the consent of the Minister of Justice and Equality, hereby makes the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Private Security (Licensing and Standards) (Cash In Transit) (Amendment) Regulations 2014.

2. These Regulations come into operation on 1st December 2014.

3. The Private Security (Licensing and Standards) (Cash In Transit) Regulations 2007 ( S.I. No. 857 of 2007 ) are amended—

(a) in Regulation 3 by the substitution of ““PSA CIT2:2014” means the standard issued by the Authority in relation to licensees entitled “PSA Technical Operational Requirements for Cash In Transit”;” for ““Standard PSA CIT1:2007” means the standard issued by the Authority in relation to licensees entitled “Private Security Authority Technical Operational Requirements for Providers of Protected Forms of Transport of Cash”;”

(b) by the substitution of the following for Regulation 6

“Standard PSA CIT2:2014 shall also be so observed by a licensee.”

The Minister for Justice and Equality consents to the making of the foregoing Regulations.

These Regulations amend Regulation 3 (in part) and Regulation 6 of the Private Security (Licensing and Standards)(Cash in Transit) Regulations 2007 (S.I. 857 of 2007).
