S.I. No. 383/2015 - Health Identifiers Act 2014 (Delegation of Relevant Functions) Order 2015.


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th September, 2015.

The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 26 of the Health Identifiers Act 2014 (No. 15 of 2014), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Health Identifiers Act 2014 (Delegation of Relevant Functions) Order 2015.

2. In this Order “Act of 2014” means the Health Identifiers Act 2014 (No. 15 of 2014).

3. The functions conferred on the Minister by—

(a) sections 5, 6, 7(1), 8, 9,

(b) section 10(1)(b), insofar as it relates to the performance by the Minister of a function conferred on him by the Act of 2014,

(c) section 10(4),

(d) section 11(6)(a), insofar as it relates to the performance by the Minister of a function conferred on him by the Act of 2014,

(e) sections 29 to 31, and

(f) sections 33 and 34,

of the Act of 2014 are delegated to the Executive.

4. The functions delegated to the Executive pursuant to this Order shall be performed by the Executive subject to the following conditions:

(a) the Executive shall notify the Minister of any advice received from the Data Protection Commissioner in relation to the performance of functions delegated under this Order;

(b) the Minister shall approve the formulation and composition of the Individual Health Identifier.
