S.I. No. 172/2018 - Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2018

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 29th May, 2018.

I, CHARLES FLANAGAN, Minister for Justice and Equality, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (2) of section 1 of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017 (No. 2 of 2017), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order 2018.

2. The 30th day of May 2018 is appointed as the day on which the following provisions of the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) Act 2017 (No. 2 of 2017) shall come into operation:

(a) section 33;

(b) section 34;

(c) section 35;

(d) section 36 insofar as it inserts section 14C in the Criminal Evidence Act 1992 (no. 12 of 1992);

(e) section 37;

(f) section 39;

(g) section 40.
