S.I. No. 586/2018 - Student Support (Amendment) Regulations 2018


Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 4th January, 2019.

I, JOE McHUGH, Minister For Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 , 7 , 8 and 14 of the Student Support Act 2011 (No. 4 of 2011), having consulted with the Higher Education Authority, and with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby make the following Regulations:

Citation and Commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Student Support (Amendment) Regulations 2018.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January 2019.

3. Schedule 1 to the Student Support Regulations 2018 ( S.I. No. 101 of 2018 ) is amended in PART A thereof, by the insertion of the following approved institution:

“Technological University Dublin”

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation).

These Regulations are an amendment to the existing principal Regulations ( S.I. No. 101 of 2018 ) which prescribe "approved institutions" and other matters for the purposes of the Student Support Act 2011 .

These Regulations may be cited as the Student Support (Amendment) Regulations 2018.
