I, CHARLIE MCCONALOGUE, Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 34 of the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013 (No. 15 of 2013), hereby make the following regulations: | ||
Citation | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Tuberculosis) (Amendment) Regulations 2024. | ||
Amendment of Regulation 22 | ||
2. (1) The Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Tuberculosis) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 58 of 2015 ) are amended by substituting for Regulation 22(1) (as inserted by the Animal Health and Welfare (Bovine Tuberculosis) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 ( S.I. No. 309 of 2016 )) the following– | ||
“22. (1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Minister may pay, following a direction under section 30 of the Act for the purposes of bovine tuberculosis, an amount not exceeding— | ||
(a) €3,000 in respect of a bovine other than a bovine mentioned in subparagraph (b), or | ||
(b) €5,000 in respect of– | ||
(i) a pedigree cow or pedigree in calf heifer, or | ||
(ii) a pedigree stock bull up to a maximum of 3 such bulls in a single breakdown period | ||
on foot of a declaration made under Regulation 13(1)(a) or (2)(a).”. | ||
