S.I. No. 107/2025 - Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024 (Commencement) Order 2025

Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in

“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th April, 2025.

I, JIM O’CALLAGHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1 (2) of the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024 (No. 1 of 2024), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024 (Commencement) Order 2025.

2. The 2nd day of April 2025 is appointed as the day on which the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024 (No. 1 of 2024) shall come into operation, insofar as it is not already in operation, other than –

(a) section 5 and Schedule 1 insofar as they relate to the repeal of section 38 of the enactment specified in column (3) opposite reference number 2 in column (1) of that Schedule,

(b) section 300, and

(c) paragraphs (c), (d) and (e) of section 302.
