MARRIAGES ACT, 1972 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1974.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 19 of the Marriages Act, 1972 (No. 30 of 1972) hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Marriages Act, 1972 (Commencement) Order, 1974.

2. Sections 1 , 7 and 18 of the Marriages Act, 1972 shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1975.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation Sections 1 , 7 and 18 of the Marriages Act, 1972 , with effect from 1st January, 1975.
