AN ACT TO AMEND AND EXTEND THE PRISONS ACT, 1972 . [28th May, 1980]. | ||||||||||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: | ||||||||||

Amendment of Prisons Act, 1972. |
1.— Section 2 of the Prisons Act, 1972 , is hereby amended by the substitution for subsection (1) (inserted by the Prisons Act, 1977 ) of the following subsection: | |||||||||
“(1) This section shall continue in operation until the 31st day of May, 1983.”. | ||||||||||

Short title and collective citation. |
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Prisons Act, 1980. | |||||||||
(2) The Prisons Acts, 1826 to 1977, and this Act may be cited together as the Prisons Acts, 1826 to 1980. | ||||||||||
