BOVINE DISEASES (LEVIES) REGULATIONS, 1993.  | ||
I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 (2) and 19 (1) of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), hereby make the following Regulations: 1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1993.  | ||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of May, 1993. 2. The amount of levy payable under section 2 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), shall—  | ||
( a ) as regards milk, be 1.3 penny per gallon,  | ||
( b ) as regards animals slaughtered or exported live, be £7.30 per animal. 3. The Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1990 ( S.I. No. 177 of 1990 ), are hereby revoked.  | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE.  | ||
These Regulations which came into effect on the 1st of May, 1993 prescribe new rates of disease levy on milk for processing and on bovine animals slaughtered or exported live.  |
