COMBAT POVERTY AGENCY (MEMBERSHIP) REGULATIONS, 1993.

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Social Welfare by section 7 (8) of the Combat Poverty Agency Act, 1986 (No. 14 of 1986) which said powers are delegated to me by the Social Welfare (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 105 of 1993 ) I, JOAN BURTON, Minister of State at the Department of Social Welfare hereby make the following Regulations:—

1 Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Combat Poverty Agency (Membership) Regulations, 1993.

2 Number of members.

2. The maximum number of members of the Combat Poverty Agency specified in section 7 (1) of the Combat Agency Act, 1986 as varied by the Combat Poverty Agency (Membership) Regulations, 1989 ( S.I. No. 278 of 1989 ) is hereby further varied by the substitution of "sixteen" for "twelve".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations provide for an increase in the membership of the Board of the Combat Poverty Agency from 12 to 16.
