SOCIAL WELFARE ACT, 1993 (SECTION 26) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1993.  | ||
The Minister for Social Welfare in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 26 of the Social Welfare Act, 1993 (No. 5 of 1993), hereby orders as follows:—  | ||

 1 Short title.  |   1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare Act, 1993 (Section 26) (Commencement) Order, 1993.  | |

 2 Commencement.  |   2. Section 26 of the Social Welfare Act, 1993 shall come into operation on the 25th day of June, 1993.  | |

EXPLANATORY NOTE.  | ||
This Order brings Section 26 of the Social Welfare Act, 1993 into operation with effect from the 25th of June 1993.  | ||
Section 26 of the 1993 Act provides that unemployed people participating in certain prescribed courses will be insurable for the purposes of Occupational Injury Benefits.  |
