ORDER

Finance Act 2005 (Chapter 3 of Part 2) Commencement Order 2006

Made by the Minister for Finance

I, Brian Cowen, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 86 of the Finance Act 2005 (No.5 of 2005) hereby order as follows:

1.        This order may be cited as the Finance Act 2005 (Chapter 3 of Part 2 Commencement Order 2006.

2         The 1st day of June 2006 is appointed as the day on which Chapter 3 of Part 2 of the Finance Act 2005 (No.5 of 2005) comes into operation.

This order appoints the 1st day of June 2006 as the date for the coming into force of Chapter 3 of Part 2 of the Finance Act 2005 . This Chapter consolidates and modernises the excise law on tobacco products.
