I, BRENDAN SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No. 27 of 1972) and for the purpose of giving full effect to Commission Decision No. 2008/419/EC of 30 May 2008 1 , hereby make the following regulations: | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Classical Swine Fever) (Restriction on Imports from Slovakia) (No. 2) (Amendment) Regulations 2008. | ||
2. The European Communities (Classical Swine Fever)(Restriction on Imports from Slovakia) (No. 2) Regulations 2008 ( S.I. No. 163 of 2008 ) are amended, in Regulation 2(1) by the substitution for the definition of “Commission Decision”, of— | ||
“ ‘Commission Decision’ means Commission Decision No. 2008/377/EC of 8 May 2008 and Commission Decision No. 2008/419/EC of 30 May 2008”. | ||

These Regulations give effect to restrictions included in Commission Decision 2008/419/EC of 30 May 2008 on imports from Slovakia due to the classical swine fever situation there. | ||
