S.I. No. 220/2026 - National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007 (Temporary Reduction of Rate of Levy) Order 2026

I, DARRAGH O’BRIEN, Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 37(1B) (inserted by section 1 (b) of the National Oil Reserves Agency (Amendment) Act 2026 (No. 6 of 2026)) of the National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007 (No. 7 of 2007) (as adapted by the Environment, Climate and Communications (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order 2025 ( S.I. No. 235 of 2025 )), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007 (Temporary Reduction of Rate of Levy) Order 2026.

2. In this Order “Act of 2007” means the National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007 (No. 7 of 2007) (amended by the National Oil Reserves Agency (Amendment) Act 2026 (No. 6 of 2026)).

3. The rate of the levy referred to in section 37(1A)(a) of the Act of 2007 is reduced to €0.001 per litre of relevant disposals of petroleum products during the period beginning on 2 June 2026 and ending on 31 July 2026.
