I, HILDEGARDE NAUGHTON, Minister for Education and Youth, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), and being satisfied it is appropriate to do so having regard to the matters specified in paragraphs (a) to (c) of that subsection as they relate to the body to which the following order applies, hereby order as follows: | ||
1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (Section 31) Disciplinary Committee of the Teaching Council of Ireland (Designation) Order 2026. | ||
(2) This Order comes into operation on 9th February 2026. | ||
2. The Disciplinary Committee of the Teaching Council of Ireland in respect of its holding of hearings under section 43 of the Teaching Council Act 2001 (No. 8 of 2001) and for the purposes of section 31 of the Civil Law and Criminal Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2020 (No. 13 of 2020), is designated and may hold such hearings before it by remote hearing. | ||
