I, MARY COUGHLAN, Minister for Agriculture and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 (No 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2007/10/EC of 21 February 2007 1 , hereby make the following regulations— | ||
1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Swine Vesicular Disease) Regulations 2007. | ||
2. The European Communities (Swine Vesicular Disease) Regulations 1995 ( S.I. No 373 of 1995 ) are amended in Regulation 2(1) by substituting the following for the definition of ‘the Council Directive’— | ||
“ ‘the Council Directive’ means Council Directive No 92/119/EEC of 17 December 1992 and Commission Directive 2007/10/EC of 21 February 2007;”. | ||

These Regulations give effect to Commission Directive 2007/10/EC amending Council Directive 1992/119/EEC regarding the measures to be taken within a protection zone following an outbreak of swine vesicular disease. | ||
