LONG TERM RESIDENCY (FEES) REGULATIONS 2009  | ||
Notice of the making of this Statutory Instrument was published in  | ||
“Iris Oifigiúil” of 8th September, 2009.  | ||
I, DERMOT AHERN, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 19(1)(a) and 20 of the Immigration Act 2004 (No. 1 of 2004), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:  | ||
1. Long Term Residency is a status capable of being conferred on qualifying persons who have been legally resident in the State on the basis of work permit / work authorisation / work visa conditions and have made application to have that status conferred upon them.  | ||
2. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Long Term Residency (Fees) Regulations 2009.  | ||
(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on 7th September 2009.  | ||
3. A fee of €500 shall be paid by the Applicant to the Minister on the initial grant of a long term residency permission.  | ||

The Minister for Finance consents to the making of the foregoing Regulations.  | ||
