An Act to make provision for the making of payments from the National Training Fund for certain purposes in respect of a scheme referred to in section 7 of the National Training Fund Act 2000 and for that purpose to amend that Act and to provide for related matters. | ||

Be it enacted by the Oireachtas as follows: | ||

Amendment of section 7 of National Training Fund Act 2000 | ||
|
1. Section 7 of the National Training Fund Act 2000 is amended by the insertion of the following subsection after subsection (2A): | ||
“(2B) Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), payments for any purpose specified in subsection (1) may include payments for the following: | ||
(a) the acquisition of lands, premises, furniture or equipment; | ||
(b) the upgrading, construction or reconstruction, including repair and maintenance, of premises.”. | ||

Short title and commencement | ||
|
2. (1) This Act may be cited as the National Training Fund (Amendment) Act 2025. | ||
(2) This Act shall come into operation on such day as the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science may, by order, appoint. |
