CIVIL SERVICE REGULATION (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1996 | ||||||||
AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE REPEAL OF SECTION 11 OF THE CIVIL SERVICE REGULATION ACT, 1956 . [16th June, 1996] | ||||||||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: | ||||||||

Repeal. |
1.—The Civil Service Regulation Act, 1956 , is hereby amended by the repeal of section 11 (which provides for the re-admission to the Civil Service of certain women who retired from it for the purposes of, on or following marriage), as amended by section 4 of the Civil Service (Employment of Married Women) Act, 1973 . | |||||||

Short title, collective citation and commencement. |
2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Civil Service Regulation (Amendment) Act, 1996. | |||||||
(2) The Civil Service Regulation Acts, 1956 and 1958, and this Act may be cited together as the Civil Service Regulation Acts, 1956 to 1996. | ||||||||
(3) This Act shall come into operation on such day as the Minister for Finance may appoint by order. | ||||||||
